Anger Management Program for Adults

Learn healthier coping skills

Anger Management Counselling/Therapy will help you identify your primary emotions.  You will learn alternative and healthier coping skills.  Using a variety of techniques you will learn how to control your behaviours which will decrease your impulsivity and acting out.  When you can control yourself you will be able to make healthier life choices.  You will be better able to acknowledge your emotional needs and communicate those needs with others.  New skills will provide you with the necessary tools to help you repair and restore relationships.

In an 8 to 12 week program you will learn: about anger, what triggers your response, what distorts your way of thinking, how to fulfill your emotional needs, about healthy boundaries, how to be assertive, how to negotiate and resolve conflict.  You will be able to identify your primary emotions versus the secondary one (like anger).  You will be able to negotiate and resolve conflict using various coping strategies (like assertiveness), which will aid in healthier life choices.  Know that when you gain control of your temper, you will gain control of your life and you will find a sense of empowerment.
